This one has glitter!
New AER leo for Tink (since the other one was a bit skimpy in the butt):
This crushed velvet also has a coating of raspberry glitter... that continually falls off and gets everywhere. But she loves it and it was comfortable, so we'll stick with it :)

The Fat Grey Fuzzy Thing
Our fat grey fuzzy thing died today.
No more "bolshie tart" behaviour, keeping the other four kittehs in line.
No more other people's laundry appearing on our doorstep.
No more squeezing into boxes and bowls too small for her butt.
RIP Burma

Brag alert!
Evil Gym Mom gets to brag!
This weekend was the first sanctioned RG competition for Auckland: Counties Manukau. The timetable was kind to us with both girls competing today, Sunday. Jess' gym friends competed yesterday (we went along to watch, cheer and catch up with the other gym moms).
Tink was on in the middle session. She smiled, remembered the new bits of her hoop routine, had fun and got middling scores (a mid 8 and two low 7s - the marking was tough but fair) in a field of 23.
Went to prizegiving where we got:
Jess competed Level 6 in the last session of the day. She was soooo nervous. This was the first of only two chances in Auckland this season to qualify for Nationals (qualifying score is 43, meaning average 14.5 for each routine).
She went out, fumbled a little but was basically cautious but steady. Went into prizegiving extremely relieved to have got her season underway, and we got:

4th in Hoop!!
Talk about woohoo surprise - we're still grinning. Way to go Tink!Jess competed Level 6 in the last session of the day. She was soooo nervous. This was the first of only two chances in Auckland this season to qualify for Nationals (qualifying score is 43, meaning average 14.5 for each routine).

3rd overall, 3rd ball (14.6), 3rd clubs( 14.5), 4th rope (14.7), so qualified for Nationals.
One very happy gymnast, keen to get back to the gym to fix the fumbles and improve her difficulties.
Way to go Jess!
hot off the production line
Finally, two competition RG leos for Jess for the 2012 season. One was being appliqued while we watched her friends competing last night - talk about cutting it fine! These photos were taken once we got home after she competed Level 6 for the first time today (Counties Manukau).
She really likes them, but she wants crystals on them, lots of crystals. Can never have too much bling it seems.

In the pink
Yes, another one.
It looks a bit big on Jess as this one is for her lovely friend Tracy (who does RG to help her ice skating). The pink is stunning on Tracy. Feel a bit mean though, as Tracy's mum will have to shorten the sleeves and back skirt a little before the Counties comp in a fortnight. I'm too chicken to take scissors to that skirt - Bridget is much more experienced (she's made some amazing skating leos).
All the best for the Hollins Trophy skating comp in Sydney next week Tracy.
