The new addition

Like Jess several years ago, Tamsin was set some goals to earn a kitten.  She just missed (by 0.1) last year, so the the deal was reset for this year.
Please welcome the new addition, Trixibelle:

One year old, very talkative cat from the SPCA who loves chasing ping pong balls, affectionately known as fluffybum or prettykitty.

It's not pink!!

A bit hard to see, but there are black swooshes on there...

Made for Tink to wear at her first "bounce up" this Friday - she started trampoline this term, just recreation level at this stage and bounce ups are when the kids show the routines they've learned and earn levels ribbons.  She is really looking forward to it.
You know me: any excuse to make a new leo!

More pink & purple

It must seem that all I have in my stash are various shades of pink and purple...

I do have other colours waiting to be used, but really, who could resist this one??

Getting ready for NZ Gymsports Nationals

It was ZM4 last weekend; the last competition before Nationals, the last chance to get any upgrades out on the floor and work the kinks out - so to speak.
Tamsin had upgrades, a better end sequence and new leotard to test out.
Isn't it fabulous??  Clare made it, and it looked great on the floor, getting lots of comments.
Tink also improved her season PB to 16.7 and made finals for the first time - hers is a large and very tough category.
Nationals is now only 3 weeks away...  GO TINK!!!

PS:  Nationals is in Auckland this year; do come watch if you can  :)

Not finished with purple just yet...

The little niece of one of the Argos gymnasts is starting rhythmic now she's five, so naturally she needed a leo made just for her, in her favourite colours...

I'll be handing this one over on Friday, when Tink and I drive down to Tauranga for the Midlands Rhythmic Champs this weekend. Feedback on the Facebook post suggests she'll need to be bribed to change out of it!

Pretty in Purple

While the white&gold upgraded aerobics leo used for hoop at the first comp looked nice, Tink had retaped her hoop for this season in purple with gold accents, meaning purple needed to be on the leotard somewhere.  Easiest way to achieve that?  Make a new one, of course!

Still lovin' that sparkle mesh  :)

Action Shots

My lovely neighbour and partner in leotard crime, Clare, was given an all singing all dancing camera for Christmas so that she could take photos of her leotards in action at comps.
She had several on show at this weekend's Xtreme RG comp and she got some shots of Tink in action for me.

6th clubs, 5th free, 4th hoop, 5th overall.
Well done Tinkerbelle!!

Neon peach rides again....

Remember this?
The neon peach leo that Tamsin adored, but I sold on when she grew out of it last year.
But thanks to Angel Fabrics who had one last piece of this fabulous colour, neon peach leo rides again:

Seen in action at today's first RG comp for the season.  More bling yet to go on, but not bad considering it was only cut out on Wednesday!
