Comp season has started...

so here are some fuzzy on the day photos from the Evil GymMom....

Tinkerbelle looking nervous at the start of the L1, 2 & 3 session

Tink hoop start pose

Tink freehand start pose

Jess mid hoop routine

L4 prizegiving: Jess 2nd freehand, ? overall (will update when the scores are published)
Same goes for Tink's socres - we just know she wasn't top 3 in anything.
However, both did reasonably clean routines finishing in time with the music and touching the apparatus (big deductions if you don't!).  Tamsin even managed to smile during her routines, yay!
Evil Gym Mom is proud of her girls, and more importantly - they had fun.

UPDATE:
Evil Gym Mom hassled the coach and got a quick look at the full results - Jess was 4th overall and Tamsin was 5th.
Way to go!

And the cat came back...

Some of you may recall a post some months back about the cats we'd lost: Titch to old age, Boodle and Tui to what we thought might be a dog.
Well, thanks to the wonders of modern technology (microchips) and the marvelousness that is the SPCA, we have

Boodle!!!
Our smoochy snuggle puss is home!
Six months after disappearing at Guy Fawkes weekend, the SPCA called to say Boodle had been found and brought in today and we could come to pick her up.
She is very healthy, and even smoochier.
Welcome home Boodle

Almost home...

... and the odd photo is starting to arrive via email from relatives in the UK

Jess and her cousin Laura at the Tower of London, the first week of the trip (last week of March), when it was still very cold and snowy in the UK.

Right about now Jess is nearly in Singapore for a stopover, then home on Sunday morning - just in time for Mother's Day, and for her birthday on Thursday.
We'll have a teenager in the house, eek!
